It’s about one hour from now and there is an undercurrent of tension in the Big Brother Africa house, as housemates sweated bullets, wondering who the ninth nominee could possibly be. Permithias, already aware that he is up for eviction, tried to keep his spirits up with the constant strumming of his guitar.

Sheillah, as can be expected, was cuddling next to Nhlanhla, sharing her concerns over whether or not she was Samantha’s secret nomination. She looked more and more worried as the afternoon progressed. Ellah and Kacey Moore, meanwhile, were also looking quite comfortable together on the couch. Idris started trying to break down Goitse’s barriers again, but she did not yield to his charm.

As much as the mood mellowed in the house, the housemates’ nerves seem to be winding up. Alusa eventually took over from Permithias on the guitar, bringing his singing to a stop as well. But before long the rest of the housemates picked up where he left off, filling the house with song yet again.

M’am Bea got busy in the kitchen, cooking and cleaning up. After all a while the tension got to the housemates. But it was not a massive fight that came as a result of their worry, but sleep, and JJ and Tayo slowly but surely nodded off.

Samantha was enjoying her last moments as Head of House. She did her best to rally together housemates during tough times this week – will she step forward next week when she no longer has the role of leader? The shopping session carried on as well, but this probably only fuelled the nominees’ anxiety, thinking how futile the exercise was if they ended up leaving. In only a few hours, we’ll know exactly who is leaving the house.Keep posted for more updates.
