Paranoia has definitely set in in the Big
Brother house if the current emotions some housemates are going through
are anything to go by. Biggie has always said that his house is a
‘pressure cooker’ and not an easy place for anybody, it’s until one gets
the chance to stay in there that they understand how it feels.
Since they lost the Wager yesterday, Luis
seems to have retreated to his shell and has of late become lonely. He
even slept outside and it took the initiative of JJ and Mr.265 to
talk to him and assured him that he was not alone and could count on the
rest of them. His breakfast was even just delivered to him outside.
Once
he made his way back to the house, he headed to the bedroom where most
of the housemates were relaxing and used the opportunity to share with
them about his latest loner persona and source of insecurities.
Luis started off by explaining why he
slept outside pointing out that he was missing Mira and that whatever
they’d was real. “I miss Mira and what we had was real. I have been hurt
so many time in the past,” he said. Luis also talked about his
background and childhood which were characterized by bullies and
mistreatment.
He revealed that his mother was Angolan while his father was from DRC and that the two met in Namibia where he was born and nurtured. He however said that the community always called him an ‘outsider’ because of his height and dark skin complexion. He also shared that he had to go abroad to finish his studies but suffered a lot and his tuition fees was not easy to get.

“I had to work as a waiter to get school
fees. At some point, I slept on the floor at a friend’s house but
finally I graduated and went back to my country,” he emotionally
revealed.
He also said that he was pondering what
to do next as far as the game was concerned. He said he felt like
housemates had made groups and thus discriminating him thus his presence
in the house was probably not needed any more. Was he hinting on an
early exit? Time will tell!
Luis’ revelations got the better of the
housemates who encouraged him to be strong and that he shouldn’t always
base on his thoughts to make certain decisions. Kacey, Sheillah,
Nhlanhla, Ellah, Laveda all cried as they shared comforting stories
about their own personal lives.
Hopefully, Luis gets over his emotions
and focuses on the game. We also hope that he understands that he’s been
through a lot thus being in the Big Brother house should be just one of
those opportunities to learn from.
